Why the UI map matters

Mutant Plants Base Defense packs roll, merge, mutate, upgrade, and redeem loops into one Roblox HUD. New players often fail waves because they cannot find Shop → Codes → Verify, the Fruits tab, or the Upgrade Zone while Brainrot pressure climbs. This guide is the menu map for Rainbow Isle Base’s live experience under UPD-0.5.

Left-side action cluster

Most sessions start on the left edge of the screen:

1. Shop — opens purchases, Premium notes, and the Codes panel.
2. Backpack / inventory — fruits, grenades, and consumables live here.
3. Placement / plant actions — where you deploy or interact with rolled units.

Exact icon art can shift after patches, but the Shop-left habit has been consistent across August 2026 code guides. If a button is missing, finish or skip the tutorial prompts, then reopen Shop.

Shop → Codes → Verify

This is the most searched UI path:

1. Launch the experience and load your base.
2. Press Shop on the left.
3. Open Codes (tab or scroll to the code box).
4. Paste one code exactly.
5. Press Verify.
6. Confirm gems, fruits, or grenades landed before the next paste.

Backpack: Fruits and Grenades

Open Backpack when you need to equip fruits or check AoE stock:

• Fruits — Void, Venom, Shadow, Reversion for mutations (Fruits and Mutations).
• Grenades — Flame, Frozen, and Shadow grenade packs from codes (Grenades).

Do not apply fruits from the backpack during a collapsing wave. Park rewards, stabilize merges, then mutate keepers.

Upgrade Zone

Upgrade Zone spends gems on permanent ranks:

• Damage / Range — 20 gem steps
• Attack Speed, Diamond Drop, Wins, Luck, Unit Slots — 25 gem steps

Placement and merge feedback

When you deploy plants:

• Watch for identical-unit prompts before merging (How to Merge Plants).
• Keep lane coverage visible; UI clutter is not an excuse for empty flanks (How to Survive Waves).
• If a merge or equip animation blocks input, wait — do not spam Shop opens.

Mobile versus desktop

On mobile, left-side buttons are easier to miss under your thumb. Tap Shop deliberately, then zoom out if the Codes box is off-screen. On desktop, keep Codes and Upgrade Zone as muscle memory so you never alt-tab to a guide mid-wave.

Premium indicator

Post-patch UI checklist

After UPD-style patches:

1. Re-find Shop and Codes.
2. Confirm Backpack still lists Fruits and Grenades separately.
3. Recheck Upgrade Zone prices.
4. Run Loadout Checklist.

Session warm-up routine

Before a serious wave push, run a sixty-second UI warm-up:

1. Open Shop and confirm Codes still accepts paste.
2. Open Backpack and count Flame, Frozen, and Shadow grenades.

4. Visit Upgrade Zone and note which ranks are still below floor.
5. Glance at placement slots so you know which lanes are thin.
